Questions about turning pages into text

The practical details for sending a page, checking the result, and downloading your text.

Is my document private?

Yes. Your uploads are sent over an encrypted connection, used only to produce your text, and deleted automatically after 24 hours. We never sell them, publish them, or use them to train anything.

How accurate is it?

Printed and typed pages — books, reports, newspaper columns — come back very close to perfect, and so does neat cursive on a clear photograph. Cramped, faded or water-damaged handwriting takes more of a guess, so we show you the transcription next to your image, with the uncertain words flagged, before you pay.

Do I need an account?

No. Drop your pages in, check the preview, pay, download. If you’d like your files kept for longer than a day, you can make an account later — it isn’t required for a single job.

What does it cost?

Pages start from $0.19 each — the more pages in a job, the lower the price per page, with a $2 minimum per order. The exact total is on screen before you pay, and there is no subscription.

Can I use my phone camera?

Yes. Camera access depends on your phone and browser; JPG, PNG and WebP photos can also be uploaded from your device. Automatic cropping, straightening and shadow removal are not currently available.

Which files can I send?

JPG, PNG and WebP images or PDF files. Jobs support up to 25 pages total; images can be up to 20 MB each and PDFs up to 100 MB. Clear, readable images matter more than file size. HEIC files are not supported.

What if the result isn’t usable?

The preview should stop that happening — but if a page still comes out wrong, write to us within 30 days and we’ll refund it. No form to fill in.
